Saving to Client Drive

We have one main published app on NFuse. Printing reports from the app typically offers "Print to File" as an option.

We have found that selecting "Print to File" then selecting client drive c causes the print operation to take 5-10 minutes, vs. seconds to print to NFuse server drive.

We have thought about having users print to the NFuse server and then going into Windows Explorer to copy the file from NFuse to the Client drive. That is an option we would like to avoid if at all posible.

Does anyone have any suggestions for handling this situation?

Thanks,

PF

How big are the files, and how much bandwidth does the connection have?

One thing Citrix is not good at (and was never designed for) is file transfers. Printing to files on client drives fits into this category.

Does copying the file from the server drive to the client take as long?

Does the file need to be on the client drive, or could it exist on a mapped network drive?

I hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

Running the "Print to File" option and pointing to a folder on the Citrix server then copying from the server drive to the client drive appears to be the best option.

Have you seen a method for making the copy from server to client seemless? The project manager would like to avoid having users go to Windows Explorer if possible.

Once again thanks.
