If you do a save sys on an older box (CISC V3R2), which has a system 36 environment on it, as well as a native environment, does the save sys save the DLO or do you have to do that separately? How can you be assured you have saved everything? And then assuming you get a good save, will everything restore to a newer box (RISC V5R1)?

Thanks.

My SAVSYS command saves the dlo's.
Not sure if a CISC savsys will work on a RISC box. The base of the operating system is completely changed. What are you trying to get off of the SAVSYS tape?

Hi, RedMage,

I was asked by my manager to post the question. I looked at the help for SAVSYS and it didn't look like it would do what we wanted, so we ended up doing a SAVLIB, then a SAVDLO, and that, as far as I know, worked.

Thanks for your reply.
