saving report to pdf

I need to save a report to pdf but need to password protect the file. Is there a way to set this up through VBA? Saving the report to pdf is no problem but I can't see how to set a password at save time. Thanks for all help in advance.

what is the PDF distiller you are using?

some distillers support password protect automation, some doesn't.

if your distiller does support it, then you should look at the documentation for it to find out the right calls...
