I'm writing a simple application that reads a .pdf into a program and replaces keyword tags (e.g. [USER-NAME]) with data from the application and writes out a new file, also in .pdf format. The pdf needs to be stored in uncompressed format to enable this.

I can create the original .pdf file much as I want it in Acrobat but I can't see a way of saving it with the text uncompressed. Happy to admit that I'm missing the obvious (less happy to admit that it can't be done!)

Thanks to anyone who can help.

n.b. Using V5 of Acrobat - significant?
