We are using Windows server 2003, Exchange 2003 and Outlook XP and Outlook 2003 in our network. We would like to be able to save inbox messages as *.msg files, but when we do a file / save as, the default location is "My Documents". I cannot find a way to change this default location. Is there a way within Outlook, the registry or via Group Policy, or some other method?
Thanks for any help.

when you open the email and click file save as you should have the option to save it as a message format and select the browse button to save it to wherever you want (at least in Outlook XP i can)

Thanks for your help, eyec.
By changing the default location, I mean I would like the ability to have file/save as point to another location by default, other than "My DOcuments". I understand that this can be changed but I want to start by having it point to somewhere other than "My documents" to start.

you might try editing the registry, look at

hkey_users . . .Office . . .General
