Is there a way to make a file save only changes made since it was opened? I thought I read that somewhere. I am having some problems with and application taking 10-15 seconds to save. Any way around this?

Thanks,

Whoah!

You don't want to save changes made to the file before it was opened? That would be impossible since you have to have a file open to save the changes that you'd make to it.

But since you probably know that I'm guessing that you missed a few details out?

I think newguy is looking for a "quick save" feature that only saves items that have changed, not the whole file. Powerpoint can do that to some extent, and I think Word also has something along those lines (although not necessarily recommended). Excel doesn't, to the best of my knowledge. newguy, please specify which application you're working with.

Darn, I am working in Excel, sorry if I was not more clear before. Somewhere I remember reading about a "Save changes only" feature, but who knows if that was even for VBA applications. Thanks for the advice.
