Saving Lotus Smartsuite97 files to CD-RW

hi all

I am trying to save my spreadsheets to CD-RW - these have been on my old Windows 98 computer for many years and I need to load them onto my laptop for a VAT inspection (Arrrrggghhhhh!!!!).
However, I keep getting a message saying "You do not have permission to open this file" "See the owner of the file or an administrator to obtain permission"!
I have no idea what to do about this as I have no passwords etc attached to this program ..... can someone please advise.

right click on file and check permissions. Just copy the file, don't open it.
