Saving Grouped objects in a MS Access 2010 form

I need to have groups of objects to remain in those groups after I've closed the form.
I am able to group and ungroup a bunch of objects while I am in design mode of a form.
I save the form but when I close it and open it again, all of the objects are back to being ungrouped.

I upgraded my Access from 2003 to 2010 and my groupings were always intact in 2003 after closing the form. Is this something no longer available for 2010? If it is still available, what do I need to do to make this work?

thanks in advance for your help
signed, very frustrated!

I've never heard of or seen this type of behavior in 2003. You can go from design view, to your form view, and back to design and maintain the last selected group, but not when the form is closed. I just tried it and got what I expected. Something doesn't jive here ... [surprise]

I may be wrong with the version. It could have been 2002. I just know I was able to do this with my previous version and am wondering if this is possible with 2010. (By your reply, I'm suspecting not)

I would'nt look for this grouping to work in any version ... past ... present ... or future! Besides its an design time criteria. You should move on to more worthy things! [thumbsup2]

I appreciate your responses, but not the attitude. You have no idea why I need to do this and whether or not it is "worthy" of my time. I assure you this was available in past versions.

(Oh and for future reference... grammatically it should be "... it's a design time ..." NOT "... its an design time...".)

In all of my reading questions here in Tek-Tips and many other news groups for many years, I don't recall reading any about grouping controls. When we get unique questions we wonder about their basis and often question (at least privately) their value and motivation. It always helps if the OP provides some background information.

However, I did try grouping in Access 2007 based on this information:

The Group and Ungroup commands are on the 'Control Layout' 'chunk' of the
'Arrange' tab in form design view. They're a little difficult to find
because they are displayed as icons only, without labels. 'Group' is just to
the left of 'Snap to Grid' with 'Ungroup' directly below it.
After I grouped some controls, exited and saved the design, and re-opened in design view, the group was retained.
