Saving format in crosstab report 1

Hello cognos buddies

Can anyone shed light on how one can save the column formatting in Impromptu version 6.1, given that the numbers of columns returned is dynamic.

Also we have noticed a number of other crosstab related problems such as if you return no data from a crosstab for a data range, say for example a month of the year, the query doesn't seem able to refresh when requesting data for a different month it seems to keep returning no data for months where there is data, unless you close down the report and open it again, maybe there is a known cache problem??

Hope this makes sense and anyone who can help or faces the same problem, please respond.

We are very disappointed with impromptu when it comes to creating crosstab reports.

Hi nnaife,

If you are interrested in crosstab reports you should have bought PowerPlay. In Powerplay you can only create crosstab (summary)reports. Impromptu has crosstab functionallity but his strenght is list (detail) reports.
