Hi

I have created a form using Acrobat 7 Pro and I want to be able to enter data and save the form using 7 Reader.

I have read the help files and apparently you can assign the file to be able to do this. I can't work out how you do it though!! Please help!

Thanks

You can't, unless the form itself was created with LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

Forms created with Acrobat Professional cannot be filled and "saved" with Reader. They can be filled and then submitted to a web application for further processing.

Thanks for the reply. I used Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7 to create the PDF. How does this differ to LiveCycle Reader Extensions??

Reader has the ability to save form data. It's intentionally "disabled". The PDF itself must contain the "code" to turn the feature on. The "Reader Extensions" server product supplies this code.

It's not a technical issue. It's an intentional sales/marketing tactic from Adobe to force you to buy yet another product. Sorry.
