Does any one know how can I save, documents I created with InDesign 2.0, in different formats like . jpg or .pdf?

It doesn't give me the option to do that when I do Save As.

I need to send a document to a printer that doesn't support the indd format.

I tried to open the indd file in Illustrator 10 and Phtoshop 6.0 and both didn't see this file extensions.

Please help.

danielsadeh,

Use File->Export and export it as a PDF, in the PDF dialog box select Style [press] and your printer should be happy.

Dear Perrin,

Thanks. That helped. However the colors changed a little. Any idea why?

Daniel

Daniel,

What mode were the original images RGB or CMYK, when you export to Pdf in [print] mode the output is in CMYK. If your original images are in RGB there will be a slight color change. If you go to the advanced settings in the dialog box you can change this so it outputs to RGB, this would be a good way to see if that's what the problem is. If so you should convert your original images to CMYK, correct the color and then output the pdf file in CMYK. Keep in mind your printer should will be working with CMYK.

One other thought, different programs will display differently, the same picture displayed in Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat will display slightly different.
