I am trying to convert some Microsoft Word files to pdfs. The Word files have yellow/beige backgrounds. The pdf file doesn't keep the yellow background. Is there any way to keep the background the same? Convert the Word page to an html page and then save it to pdf???? Thanks.

Are you using Distiller as your printer when you 'print to file' to make the PDF? Or are you using PDFWriter?

I'm using Distiller and I did find a complicated way to do this - first I have to copy and paste the Word file into FrontPage and make an htm file. Then I have to add the color background again in FrontPage. I save the htm file, look at it in Internet Explorer and then print to Distiller. I can't print directly from Word because although the yellow background stays, but the links change to some kind of programming text or something.
