Saving changes for the reports with object prompt

I have a report which prompts the users for the attribute and metric fields to be placed on the report(Object Prompt)
whenever I make formatting changes such as alignment, decimal and fractions display changes to the attributes and metrics columns on the report and save it and next time when i run the report these changes won't reflect !
can any one please tell me what other adjustments to be made so that i can save these settings.

Are you setting the alignment and font changes after the result set is returned?

If so,you might want to try setting all the alignment and font settings in the metrics themselves therefor the setting is embedded in to the metrics themselves and not the report you saved.
