I have remote users in my company that wish to have just the title (header) downloaded when they are away from the office. At this point, they could pick and choose what mail they wish to download and then receive the full message. This would speed up e-mail retrieval time in remote areas where the bandwidth is slow. Is there something that does this in Outlook? If not, is there a third party utility that does this?

In Outlook Help search for "Remote Mail". Read the Use Remote Mail to download headers and messages topic for how to set up.

The above is for OL2002. you didn't mention which OL you were using but the search in Help should find your answer whichever version you are using.

On another note if you would like to increase your bandwidth on any PC go to and download the appropriate tweaks. I have used the tweaks in W2K and XP and it has almost tripled my download rate.
