Saving a pdf image to a tiff

I've been sent a pdf of a magazine cover & want to save it to a tiff. I've tried it different ways in Photoshop & {even Illustrator} but it really looks like doo-doo.
Is there a way to do it with good, crisp results?

When you save it as a tif, it becomes rasterised, hense looking like doo-doo.

What are you going to use it for?

It could also be a low res PDF?

Try opening the PDF directly from Photoshop.
