Hi guys, sorry if this is a screamingly simple question, but I'm finding it difficult to uncover any help on GIMP.

I have a jpg image that I want to save as or export to a gif file format.

How can this be done?

Also where is a good place to look for Gimp documentation and discussion?

TIA

Alex.

The University of Minnesota ftp://ftp.cs.umn.edu/pub/gimp/docs/ has documentation in pdf.
You need to run an additional program for GIF support because of licensing or something. I remember declaring that I live the United States in order to use it, something about a Unisys patent that expired in the US but not anywhere else.
read assuming you use windows, same page has win gif-able install zip. gimp-gif-1.2.5.zip

I know it's late - I know you're weary
