I tried to save a file in Crystal 7 as an application. Then I want to run the file as an application and distribute it to users that do not have the Crystal Reports Application, but the users have access to the DB. Please advise I am get OBDC error like crazy. Is it possible to do what I am trying to do?

It sounds like you are distributing a compiled report. In addition to all of the files that the report distribution module packages up for you to distribute, you also need to install ODBC, and set up the same ODBC DSN on the user's machine that the report expects.

Have you already checked these things?

Mary

No, I haven't is that in the Control Panel OBDC settings?

Yes. You can see what ODBC connection the report is using by going to File, Database, Set Location in the report designer. Then, check the control panel ODBC settings for that DSN on a PC where the report works (like the development PC), and make sure the same DSN is set up in the control panel on the user's PC.

Mary
