I would like to know how to use restvg to recreate the
lv files after the restore of mksysb. What is wrong with my
restvg command? How do i use it correctly?

Thanks in advance

hi ,

your command savevg -i -f /tmp/vgdata/system_vg system_vg

I think your command is failing because your file name and directory name are the same , try

savevg -i -f /tmp/vgdata/system_vg.savevg system_vg

also check the directory /tmp/vgdata exists

then use youre restvg command using system_vg.savevg file
