I am currently working to add pre/post backup scripts.

The scripts are working fine outside legato, however these are not working when invoked by savepnpc. While trying to diagnose the problem I found out the /nsr/logs/savepnpc.log is empty, and its last access date is of three weeks ago, (in the mean time the server that performed at least 10 filesystem backups and 1 restore).

Is the output of /nsr/logs/savepnpc.log disabled ? Where I can check of this output?

I don't think you can disable "savepnpc.log".

I already faced this problem with a group name longer than twelve characters. PRE/POST were never starting.

The group name is just seven characters long.

Have you tried :

to stop daemons and delete all the tmp files (srv & cli)
to create a new group

Could you send your "groupname.res" file ?

Thanks for your suggestion. After shutting down the client and server daemons, deleted the tmp files and started the daemon again, it worked fine.
