Hello all, I'm relatively new to Corel. I've been plugging away with it for a few months and just ran into my first real problem. After making several changes to a page, then saving it, I reopened it later and...aaagh...it hadn't saved the changes! I made sure I was saving it as the same thing and to the same place after re-doing my changes, closed the job, re-opened it again, and...same deal. :O

Anybody else ever run into this? Am I missing something obvious? Maybe I'll get to the office tomorrow and it will have fixed itself, but I'm not counting on it...

Thanks in advance!
Neb

The only time I have seen anything similar to this is when opening an old file ie 7/8 into 10 and saving as something new. The bar at the top should display the file name so if you do a 'save as' with a different name rather than a 'save' then at least you will have a clue if you have a new file. Out of interest what version of Draw and O/S are you using?

It's Draw 11 on XP Pro. I installed Corel's latest "patch" for Draw this morning, and I'm not having the problem any more. That could be coincidental, but then again, it could be elves...

I did try the "save with a different name" trick yesterday, by the way. THAT didn't even help. Really goofy.

So far, so good. At this point everything seems to be hunky dory (cross fingers).

Thanks!

I'm glad things have resolved themselves. For future reference pressing F8 on starting Draw and accepting default workspace can also resolve many unexplained issues.

The symptoms you described also appear in the File Temp Copy Error. Another forum outlines some workarounds which may help you:
