Does anyone know where the key for this is, and what i need to change.

Basically it is the same as if i want to open a word document it prompts me to save it first or open it directly. There is an option to not ask the question again. But suppose i want to change the value of my original answer.

Also if anyone has any sound reasons on why i should leave it asking the question please feel free to comment. I know it is better from a security point of view, what is the benefit of them saving first, when they are only going to launch it as the next step anyway.

Security and security. Firstly, if the attachment has a virus that has got past the email scanner, then saving it to disk will ensure that the local scanner will trap the virus when the user tries to open it.

Secondly, if it is an attached Office document - say Word document - and the user opens the attachment directly and makes edits and saves the document, all the edits are lost because the document is only opened in a temporary internet folder.

So by forcing users to save to the local drive you are double-checking for a virus and ensuring the user doesn't lose any work.
