If a save set is deleted does the save set record get marked to be recyclable or are all instances of the save set deleted?

Careful! - do not mix up things here:

- you could either delete a save set physically by relabeling the tape.
If this is done with NW then he will delete the save set entries for
that volume, of course.
If this is done (accidentally) with another program, NW will of course not even become aware.

- you may delete the database entries for the media and all stored save sets from the database.
In this case, the entries are deleted from the database but as the media remains untouched.
You will still be able (to scan and) recover data.
