Hi
I need to create a database button that will save the content of the clipboard (a screenshot) as a JPEG. This is for students to create screenshots as evidence for ict coursework. I originally was going to paste the pictures into access, however the bloat with this made the file size huge. So I thought if the files can be saved as jpeg, then referenced to in a database this would work better.

Once the user has pressed the PrtSc button and taken the picture, I want them to press a button in a ms-access database to then save this as a jpeg file (which can then be looked up in a report and annotated under it).

ANY IDEAS????

Thanks,
Gary.

I haven't used Access in a number of years, but I think that there is a way to do an on button press. It might be possible to actually map the print screen button which could prompt the student by asking if they would like to save the screen capture. If yes, save the screen shot if no, clear the cache.

Which version of access are you using by the way?

Gary,

I just copy/pasted your thread title into Google and leaving away "using Access" and might have found what you are looking for:

Would that do the trick?
