Hi,

I have a report that is done in Access. Is it possible to save the report in code in a format that can be read in Acrobat reader?

Thanks..Russ

No, you cannot save a report in code as a pdf file. However, you can print the report using either the Acrobat Distiller (Ver. 5) or the PDF Writer (Ver. 4 and 5) and this will create the report as a pdf file - which is effectively the same thing. In order to do this you need the full Adobe Acrobat retail version; not just the Reader.

In the design view of the report, click File and then Page Setup. Click the Page tab and then Printer. This will allow you to set the default printer for this particular report. Choose Acrobat Distiller or PDF Writer to cause the report to be printed in pdf format.

Cheers,

Uncle Jack

If you have to full version of Adobe Acrobat installed, you can print to a PDF "printer" that Adobe sets up for you upon install. Otherwise, you can print to file using generic PostScript driver. Next, open up Adobe Distiller, select the PostScript file you just printed, and the Distiller will create you a PDF. Those are the simplest options I know of.
