Save Link

Does anyone know how to create a link to a file such that when a person click on the link, a file directory box will pop up and the person can choose where they can save the file on their computer?

try doing a keyword search on "download" and "file". there's a number of good posts on the subject. solutions range from removing the file extension to using a zip file and simply putting the file name in the "href" of the link. other solutions involve setting headers within the asp page to force a download or simply instructing users to right-click on the link and select to save.
