Save form on exit

hi
i create a form taking the data from tables
when i open the form and select the data from the table,
how can i save these data on closing the form, so next time i open the form i find these data on place?

try putting this in each controls afterupdate

controlname.defaultvalue = controlname

change controlname as needed

on closing the form it will ask to close but to avoid this for your users try this

docmd.save acform,"formname",acsaveyes "What a wonderfull world" - Louis armstrong

I was trying to put the
docmd.save acform,"formname",acsaveyes
and i changed the formname,, error msg said that
Microsoft can;t find the macro docmd.

what shall i do?
