I have a nice graphic at 400 dpi. When I "Save For Web", it creates a JPG nicely but the lettering becomes a bit fuzzy. Is there a setting in the "Save For Web" dialogue box that can be adjusted to maintain the clarity? Thank you.

If your saving something for the web lower the DPI to 72. Save it for the web as a gif for text and jpg for a photo. Try raising the qauilty or lowering the lossless setting.

Good luck,

Anthony

Anthonymeluso is right on target. GIFs work far better for graphics that contain text. Just make sure to reduce the number of colors to only what you need when creating the GIF.

If you happen to have any gradients and.or drop shadows, you'll be better off with jpg.

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4

I never knew that about text and GIFS JMgalvin. I always thought GIFS were just better for making an (animated) gif.

A star for you.
