Ok,I'm a definite newby to ImageReady and Illustrator CS.
I'm trying to create a simple web page based linked series of pages to allow users to search items. I have all the graphics in and about 25 of my pages done. Each page is a slightly different version of the main menu all linked in as sub menus.
I have no problem with the URLs, slices, etc as I did previous project with success in Photoshop CS. Unfortunately, I no longer have Photoshop.
My problem is that when I save for web using ImageReady, one page will corrupt others in html format. That is my buttons are all screwed up with other pages' content.
I tried to uncheck all the "Replace " check boxes in the "Replace Files" pop-up but to no avail.
Does anyone have a solution?
Also can I create drop down menus in Illustrator?
I would really appreciate any help.

Hi,

How do you have Imageready and not photoshop?

When you save images in IR you goto File > Save Optimized As for each image. You shouldn't have any corruption that way.

Illustrator is not for making dropdowns. Dropdowns are javascript code. You can make the images to go in the background of the dropdowns in AI if you wanted to.

Other than that I guess I would need to see your problem on screen as I don't quite fully understand what's wrong.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

I now realise (after examining someone else's string) that I need another program to do dropdowns so I downloaded AllWebMenus. Thanks for that excellent advice!

As far my problem - when I 'Save Optimised' my pages many of the slices I have created appear the same as another pages instead of the way they are supposed to be. In other words, one page's information is taking the place of another's in the same position. For example, a 'button' that should appear unchecked appears as another page's checked state. Its slices are getting randomly replaced by another page's slices. Of the 25 pages I've created, 10 of them have some wrong content, ie. content from different pages.

I know I'm not very good at explaining myself as I don't have all the terminology down, but I hope that's a bit clearer.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
