We are using the 'Save for Service Provider' utility on our Macs to ensure all files are sent for production. However the Mac throws in a 'System' file with the Fonts that bloats the size of total files by about 7 MB. Since I don't know Macs that well (I do know PCs), I have some questions:
1) Is this 'System' file necessary - perhaps for the receiving Macs to load the fonts?
2) If the 'System' file is not necessary, is there a way to tell Pagemaker not to include it in 'Save for Service Provider' utility?

Thx for any help on this.

Well I don't know Macs too well either, but my guess is yes, you need those files. My understanding is that Macs create two files for each font (a resource 'fork' and something else - another 'fork' whose name escapes me at the moment) so best to leave them in the SFSS folder.
