hi guys

is there a way to prevent users from doing a "save as wallpaper" with bitmaps and jpegs.

i know you can force desktop profiles etc, etc which will reload the next time they log on but you can not block a save as wallpaper in the first place

thanks

Have you looked at the "Active Desktop Wallpaper" setting? It states This setting lets you specify the wallpaper on users' desktops and prevents users from changing the image or it's presentation.

In Group Policies you can set it so that wallpapers can't be changed via the display properties and also enforce a wallpaper for the users when they logon.
Not sure if it will stop users for being able to change the wallpaper via the "save as wallpaper" but it will change it to the system standard when they next logon.

Steve.
