save as pdf to text with vb6

Hi all.
I open a pdf file in vb codes and then save this file as a text file (in the codes). If this pdf is English text this is OK, But if the pdf is an Arabic(or Farsi) pdf then the result text file included with incorrect characters.

Please help me.

Welcome to TT shahna! To get the most from these forums please read FAQ222-2244.

Sounds like and Ascii/Unicode problem. Since text is ascii based (english systems) it seems you may need to figure out a different format to save your file in OR perhaps add the language to the OS. This however is not by any means a guaranteed solution as I have not really had much experience with foreign language OS's, but hopefully with this bump some of the other forums member may see this and be able to help you.
