Save and Retrieve Preview picture for an EXE

Hi, I would like to be able to save and retreive a picture from my exe without having to open it.

You know like msWord that show you a preview picture or the document you selected in windows explorer

I want to be able to access it like you can retreive FileDescription, Version or Company name with the API GetFileVersionInfo.

I have exe that produce report. I would like to snag-it an exemple of the report and when the user select the report, I want to show him the preview without him having to start the exe.
