Do you know how to save a report as an executable, I have some reports thats was created by my predessorrs, that are executables, the reports are installed on PC as exe files and when the user click on the report an Export box opens with default setting to export the report they click on Ok and the report is run the users do not have crystal on there machine any idea's how you could save a report so when the users open it it opens up an export box.

Rachel,

Click on report, Compile report, and follow the prompts. This will create 2 files a .crf file and a .exe file. The .exe is of course the executable. It is very straighforward process but feel free to post again or email if you have any questions.

If you are using CR 8 or newer, the report compiling tool does not ship with Crystal, you have to go to the Crystal decisions website and download it first. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
