Hi there,

I used SAVCE8 for all servers & clients, all in managed mode.

Now for notebook users, when inside office they can get the signature update via pushing. When outside office they cannot get the signature update at all.

Wondering will it be a good idea to open up the ports at firewall for the signature update so that notebook users can receive the signature update anywhere?

Or this will lead to more security issues so don't do it?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

No, it would be a bad idea. For laptops, you should have them configured to run LiveUpdate periodically, so that when they're not connected to your network, they can still get updates.
