We use SAV9 unmanaged.
I prefer to download the virus definition from Norton early each morning and place the file on a server. Each client can then be scheduled to run the updates automatically from this.
2 Problems arise
1. If someone leaves the Advisory screen open saying that installation was successful, the file remains open and I cannot download the next day's updates to that same file name.
2. If updates by clients are scheduled, the program asks at the statt ' Do you want to update your definitions ?'. The program needs a <CR> to continue.
Are there any command line switches when running the Virus update program to all it become an unattended update? i.e. it will run without asking the question and close automatically.
