SAV CE 10 Upgrade from 9

We have one system that has failed to upgrade SAV CE 9 to version 10. Every other machine is working and upgraded fine.

The error box that appears if we try to do a manual uninstall is this.

I've tried running the NONAV non symantec application but that still didn't work.

Any one got ideas?

I'd rather not reinstall the whole OS etc as its a pain of a machine to rebuild!

Try removing these keys (after backing up your registry of course).. if they are present

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\497CA84818B8A04418EA464733D75B72
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\UpgradeCodes\20A7FB42A06BB49448A397B3CB77ED4D

You can also alter NONAV.BAT and set it to remove Liveupdate. There are a few paramaters in the top of nonav... use something like this

set REMOVE_SYMEVENT=1
set REMOVE_LIVEUPDATE=1
set REMOVE_CQUARANTINE=1
set REMOVE_DEFS=1
set REMOVE_LOGS=1
set WARN_FIRST=1
set REBOOT=1
set NNLOG=c:\nonav.log

Another thing to try is to uninstall any version of Liveupdate you have, and install the one from the SAV 10 CD in \Tools\LiveUpdate\lusetup.exe

I hope that this gives you something to go on...
