Whenever our SAV corp 9 clients receive an update they seem to do a mini scan, when this happens during bootup it kills the older PC's for upto 5 mins.

Is there a way to prevent this happening?

Thanks.

I think there's an option to check whether the quarantined files can be repaired when new definitions arrive. Don't know by heart where it is.

If the problem is related to having many items in the quarantine, consider setting automatic purging in e.g. 7 days.

Hope this helps,
Wim

I'm just starting out with SAV any chance you can point me to the settings?

Thanks for the reply.

Right-click the parent server. Then go to All tasks > Symantec Antivirus > Quarantine Options. At the bottom, select "Do nothing".
