SAV 8.1 AMS email using Netware 5.1 Server

We have SAV Enterprise edition on our Netware 5.1 server, with AMS checked before the installation. When trying to configure the AMS at a workstation where SSC is installed, the Netware server appears in the Action Computer list if setting up Broadcast but it does not show up in the Action Computer list when trying to setup Send Internet Mail. Can a Netware server be used to Send Internet Mail for Virus Found alerts? Thanks for any help.

No, Netware does not come with an smtp server package. Just point it at your ISP's smtp server.

Thanks Lawnboy. The problem is that our server is the only computer in our network that is on ALL of the time and it does not show up in the ACTION COMPUTER list for Email notification. Is there a way to make that happen?

Our mail server is through a company called Jumpline. I put the SSC app on another workstation and it shows up in the ACTION COMPUTER list and I can configure it to send using the IP address of our mail server and the test went through. I thought at one time we had our file server (with AMS included in the install) acting as the notifying computer but I may be mistaken (I didn't do that setup). In the hours of searching I have done todate on this subject I have found references in Symantec documents about just such a situation but they mostly say the Novell server should show up in the list, with the only clue for making it show being "Make sure AMS was installed with SAV on the server". And I THINK one said that the AMS software had SMTP built into it.
