SAV 10.0.2.2000 root certificates

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me exactly when I will need to copy the root certificate from my 10.0.2.2000 server to my clients? I run installs for the clients using a grc.dat file that groups them and connects them to the proper server, but I am wondering what exactly the root certificate does. I have mixed information about just when exactly the client needs the certificate. I haven't really had a problem that I know of, but this could be because I wouldn't be able to see the problem machines in System Center due to the fact that they are not communicating.

Does anyone have any information or links that describe the certificates in detail?
