Hi guys, I live in an area where DSL and cable internet are not offered so I was left only with one option SATELLITE internet. I currently have one provider but it so so so slow when browsing the internet. I have a remote connection to one of my other locations and the connection takes a long time to connect and to operate. I have talked to the satellite company complaining about the speed, but they say that I am getting 1.5 MB which I doubt just because I do simple network connectivity tests like ping to google.com and the reply is super high. I have also perfomed speed tests pages and the download speed is around 512 kbps and the upload is less than 64 kbps. Does anybody know a good satellite company that I can switch to??? or any recommendation on this matter???

Only two-way satellite company I know of that is supposed to be halfway decent is Hughes.

thanks for the reply I will check into that company..

It's been almost four years. But my experience is that satellite just sucks--period. I'm sorry.
