I have fried my ATA HDD, and am lookoing to replace & upgrade. I have no experience with SATA or RAID, but as SCSI seems a little beyond my budget, I was considering a
pair of WD Raptor 74Gb SATA disks, along with an Adaptec 1210SA card - operating in RAID 0.

I appreciate that RAID 0 offers the least in terms of security, but the PC in question is a "games donkey" and data security is not high on the agenda, but performance is.

The PC is a reasonably fresh Win2000/P4 machine with Intel 845 chipset, does this drive arrangement seem wise for the task?

Thanks in advance.
