Hi there,
I was wondering if there's a way to lighten up the hdd led under RH9. I have two SATA hdd's mirrored with a RAID-1 but didn't find out how to make that damn hdd led function :) Any ideeas?
Thanks alot

I think that this is actually a hardware issue rather than an OS thing. By default design, the SATA interface doesn't output enough power to fully light up the drive activity LED. If you turn off the room light, you may just see it flicker. I think I've seen some documentation regarding this issue at Intel or Asus website to either change the LED to a high efficency LED or to attach a power buffering circuit.

Coincidence is that my whole sistem is mounted on am assus motherboard and didn't fine any documentation regarding the hdd led. I'll try to dig more maybe i'll get lucky and i will try to change the led too.
Thanks alot :)
