I have a WD 120gb sata HD hooked up to a msi neo8 Plat. MB. I tried to hook up a 80gb hd with the sata connection and the when it starts up it hangs on the MSI logo screen and I can't get to the bios. If i unhook it i can get to the bios screen and then plug it in and I can get the bios to recognize it when i do it manually, but when i restart it it hangs again. Any ideas? I don't have to set it up in a raid if I use more than 1 HD on sata connections do I?

Disconnect the 120 GB HD, and see if the 80 GB HD is recognized in BIOS when it's connected with the 120 GB HD's SATA cable to the 120 GB HD's SATA port.
If not, then the drive may be bad.
If it is recognized, then reconnect it to the same port, but with its original cable. If it's not recognized, then the cable is probably bad.
If it's recognized with its original cable, then connect it to its original port with its original cable. If it's not recognized, then the port may be bad.
