I installed Windows XP on my new Sata 2 HD. The HD is setup in IDE mode in the bios so when the Windows install asks for SCSI or RAID drivers I don't have to install them. Windows detects my HD as IDE even though it's Sata. Now windows is installed and everything is OK but I would like to switch to native SATA in the bios and activate NCQ. If I do this in the bios with the current install, Windows does not boot. I know I have to load a driver but how would I go about doing this?? Any insights? Thanks in advance
