I'm running SAS v8.2 with sas/connect on NT.

I'm sure somewhere i've seen some code that allows you to check if there is a remote connection already in place.

For instance, i would like to check if there is a connection established to OS390, and if not, then to call the signon script for this remote connection.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Nick

Hello from Paris,

You can use some SAS/options like that :

node=optgetc('remote'); /* to get the name of last remote host linked*/
msg=sysmsg();
put msg node;
rc=rlink(node);
if (rc=0) then msg='No link';
else
msg='Link OK';
put msg;
