Can I use the following generic Power Supply for either a T7316e line voltage extender M7324 CAP?

Class 2 Transformer
INPUT 120v AC 60hz 10w
OUTPUT 24v DC 250mA

If so is this wired to the second pair i.e. Orange/White?

Yes it is compatible, also to second pair.

Thank you. So then if I am understand then the SAPS is providing additional power to the device itself i.e. CAP or a set that is a long distance away from the KSU and needs additional power for its display?

So I can locate the SPAS lets say for a T7316e that is at a remote guard house about 3,000 away at the guard house? This T7316e works most of the time but I am gettings complaints that sometimes there is a lag when they dial out for a local call.

I just connect the SAPS at the RJ11C block that the set plugs into and connect to the ORANGE/WHITE and use a 4 conductor station cable?

Yes or double up on the pairs from phone system to the jack it is about resistance by adding another pair you reduce the loop resistance in the cable length.

We had a customer that sometimes had weird hissing noise on there system. After a lot of trouble shooting and pair changes the trouble was found to be comming from a different brand of power supply that they had used for Cap power. It was intermittant. Beware.
