Hi there ppl,
I'm having difficulties choosing Windows XP's built-in speech recognition engine (Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1, which I have trained extensively) when using Microsoft's SAPI 5.1 SDK within Delphi 7 (I've already taken a look at an article put forward by Borland ( but this doesn't state how to choose your speech recognition engine (at least not clear enough)). I'm quite sure that SAPI doesn't use Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1 by default, because the speech recognition is a big, frustrating mess when using the program that is currently under development (It is excellent, however, when using Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1 in combination with other programs that do support the use of Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1). Any ideas about how to list / choose the engine? Thanks in advance.
