We are currently implementing Project Systems in version R3. We have gone live but are really struggling with one key part.
We have a series of activities which have a duration, activity type and % set which then calculates the amount of work and cost. The activities sit under WBS elements which also have a duration. When you want to extend or reduce the duration of a series of activities, you copy the start and end dates from the WBS elements and rescedule. This extends the duration of the activities.
The problem we have is that although the duration extends, the work and cost is not recalculated as SAP assumes the work will just be done over a longer period of time. However in our case the amount of work will actually increase with the extension. It is possible to go into each activity and recalcualte but this is very time consuming.
Does anyone know how to change this so the activies recalculate automatically as this is a major issue for us.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
