We are looking to implement Kanban using MRP data to autocalculate # of Kanbans in control cycle for FG. The test part is FG with 1 raw part reporting to it(which is also on kanban in same sloc and supply area).

Setup:
We use Repetitive Mfg so in Mtl Master for FG:
-REM profile=005,(prod version established)
-supply area is established
-valid MRP type exists
Also cost collector created.

The in-house replenishmt strategy:
Control Type=4 Replenishment using containers / MRP
Order Type=RM01

In the Control Cycle:
-When created have manually put in a low qty for # of Kanbans and Qty per Kanban
-Replenishmt LeadTime is loaded
-CalcType & Profile loaded to autocalculate the # of kanbans to use
-Addtl depend reqmts selection points to the same plant sloc & supply area (Raw & FG are in the same)

Have ton of Demand in MRP loaded

Problem:
When we create the proposal for autocalculation of Kanbans, it SHOULD show a large increase in # of kanbans proposed, but we get 'zero' suggested and without any errors.

In reviewing formula SAP uses dont understand the "AC" (Average consumption per time(from dependent requirements) segment of the calculation. Could this be the problem?
Anyone familiar with this part of the calculation pls advise.

Or anyone aware of any known issues using Kanban w/MRP for inhouse production? Dont see OSS notes on subject. We have Kanban on External procurement w/MRP autocalculating and proposing kanbans fine.

Regards,
KH
