Hello, everyone!

Has anyone used Crystal Reports to report off of SAP HR InfoSets? When our HR group uses the InfoSets as the data source in Crystal Reports, they are prompted for over 30 parameters. After they enter values into the parameters, the results that are returned do not match the results in SAP. The InfoSet they are using references the PNP logical database.

They are trying to get me access to a test system to play around with it. In the mean time, I am wondering if anyone out there has any advice or comments on the subject. Anything is greatly appreciated. I will also be speaking with someone from Crystal Decisions about this. Just thought I'd see if anyone on the SAP side has encountered this issue before.

Note: We are using SAP 4.6c and Crystal Reports 8.5.

Thank you,
Rebecca

hi Rebecca.

I know this thread is old, but was wondering if you ever got an answer? I started a new job with a company that is still on 8.5 and trying to report off of SAP.

How can this be done? I do not see any datasources for SAP available within Crystal 8.5 :(

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Regards,
Robert

Hi, Robert.

It's been a while since I've looked at SAP and Crystal Reports. I did figure it out at some point how to use Crystal Reports 8.5 with SAP. Unfortunately, I am no longer with that particular company and can't look up how I did it. I will see if I kept any of my notes and will try to get back to you with any information I find.

Rebecca

Robert,

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. I got side-tracked. You need to install the Crystal Enterprise Solution Kit for SAP. I think you can get it from Crystal Decisions' web site.

Hiya Rebecca,

Thanks for the information. I actually spoke to a Crystal Decisions rep and he advised the same thing. Just a way to suck more oney out of us!! LOL.

I really do appreciate you following up on this.

Have a nice day.
Robert
